Elephant Toothpaste Experiment

Title – Elephant toothpaste

Purpose:

Leaning on how to make Elephant toothpaste and how much things to put in and we find out what happens when we pour the Carbon dioxide and food colouring dish soap and yeast and it was not that bad and it poured out of the cup.
I learned that the reaction of the experiment is due to the amount of chemicals that you use.

Hypothesis: Try to predict the answer to the problem. Another term for hypothesis is ‘educated guess’. This is usually stated like ” If I…(do something) then…(this will occur)

If we have a mixture of carbon dioxide and dish soap and we mix it with the dissolved yeast we will obtain an “explosion”

Materials: List everything you will need to conduct your experiment.

Carbon dioxide, dish soup, warm water, yeast, colouring food.

Experiment procedure: The fun part! Design a test or procedure to confirm or disprove your hypothesis. Write down each step so that someone else could do the same experiment.

1. He put hydrogen dioxide in the bottle then he put food colouring in with the hydrogen dioxide then dish soap in there as well

2. Then he put yeast in a cup then put warm water in it then we had to mix it for 30 sec

3.then we pour the thin.the we pour the mixer that was in the bottle into the cup of yeast and then when we did it it was like forming and it was cool.

Analysis/Data: Record what happened during the experiment.

Conclusion:Review the data and check to see if your hypothesis was correct.

It didn’t work because we thought it would go high but it didn’t it was just going over the cup.
